Now, I'm not starting this message board to turn this in to a debate on which screen-reader is better. I'm just saying, I'm happy as hell because JAWS 8.0 is finally on my computer. Good-bye demonstration CD. Do CD's you don't want anymore make good frisbees?

JAWS totally rules. I got mine free, well, the state bought it along with a new computer.

Does anyone know if CD's make good frizbees? I'd like to use my JAWS Demonstration CD in place of one. lol

It probably wont fly straight because it has a hole in the middle and it doesn't have the bent up sides, oh but it's shiny.

I got a free Jaws from the state of Louisiana! The free computer broke! I got another one for Christmas a few years ago! After the state refused to fix the computer! I'm glad I hung onto the cd! This computer doesn't have a disc drive! My friend brought her externial disc drive over here, and Jaws wouldn't download! So you better hang on to your cd.

The Demo? I don't need that anymore. I've still got the full version and everything that came with it. I'm not going to toss that.

If you have install JAWS again for some reason you don't need to retype the registration key because It's already in your computer. It's like that for me.

That's good, because it's a twenty-digit number that I can hardly read. Thank God for the authorization CD.

Ah...the wonder of jaws.
P.S. the only true-blue way to get rid of unwanted disks is to melt them down in the microwave.
Lol!

Post 15 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Saturday, 14-Apr-2007 23:46:43

Um, is that safe?

Post 16 by Selena Fan (Account disabled) on Sunday, 15-Apr-2007 10:59:27

Wow in the microwave! That must be fun! If I ever come across a cd that I don't want any longer, I'll have to do that! I can't wait to see what the cd will look like!

Better get all the animals out of the house first...

I never said it's that safe...I don't want people thinking I condone this behavior.
Haha!

Post 19 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Sunday, 15-Apr-2007 17:31:26

Okay, in that case, I won't try it. not that I would, I mean my parents would get angry as hell I imagine it would stink up the whole house.

Well I have jaws 7.0, and I'm satisfied with it. The only question I have is Can I freely upgrade to jaws 8?

Post 21 by bozmagic (The rottie's your best friend if you want him/her to be, lol.) on Thursday, 02-Aug-2007 7:15:54

Er, I'm afraid you can't freely upgrade to JAWS 8. I've just upgraded to JAWS 8 tne new one myself as I have a Windows Visa laptop which I'm typing this post on now and a two-year-old Windows XP PC in the other room which really needs to upgrade to JAWS 8 as well, but mum's refusing to help me do it because of the bother upgrading this machine caused, so I'm just going to have to grit my teeth and bide my time with that one. I think it also burnt quite a big hole in the plastic when I upgraded as well, plus we downloaded JAWS 8 from FS so we don't have a CD with which to load it on to my PC next door when we've bleached it. That machine has a few issues right now, which is why I'm using the laptop in my bedroom.

Oopsy! I meant the new version of JAWS 8. Stupid laptop keyboards! Congrats though Joanne.

Thanks for telling me. I tried a jaws eight demo, and it works fine. I even think it's more stable than jaws seven.
